Sydney Kayak Experience · Milson Park, Kirribilli
You push off from a boat ramp in Kirribilli in the dark and paddle out as the sun comes up behind the Opera House, with the Harbour Bridge above you. It never goes inside, but no other trip gives you the sails at dawn from water level.

Sydney Kayak Experience meets at the Milson Park boat ramp in Kirribilli, on the north shore, next to the Flying Bear Cafe and the Flying Squadron sailing club. That's across the harbour from the Opera House: Milsons Point station and the Kirribilli ferry wharf are a short walk away. The start time moves with the sunrise, which in Sydney comes around 5:40am in December and around 7am in June, so check your confirmation.
After a safety briefing and gear fitting, you head out in single or double kayaks with the guides. The route takes in photo stops with the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge in front of you, and the guides shoot photos and video from the water, sent to you by the end of the day. They try to paddle under the bridge on every session. It is not guaranteed: ferry traffic, wind and the group's ability decide, and the listing promises a full refund if that part can't be done. Afterwards you get a $20 credit for breakfast at the Flying Bear, with the water in view.
Guests report it as easy paddling, and the listing calls it light physical activity, but it is still two hours with a paddle in your hands. You need to be 12 or older, a single kayak takes up to 140 kg and a double 170 kg combined, and groups go up to 26 people. You'll see the Opera House from a viewpoint few people get, but you won't set foot in it. Pair it with the guided tour the same afternoon for the full picture.
